Background of Implementation
Addressing Challenges in "Customer Data Granularity" for Marketing Transformation
Konica Minolta Japan proposes optimal solutions to customer challenges by combining Konica Minolta products and services with those of other companies.
To provide the best proposals for the challenges customers face, the freshness and understanding of customer behavioral changes are key.
By introducing uSonar, which can visualize behavioral changes such as interests and concerns at the "business location" level—covering branches and factories of large enterprises as well as SMEs—Konica Minolta Japan aims to develop a more precise marketing strategy.
Evaluation Points for uSonar
High Evaluation of Intent Data Functionality
Konica Minolta Japan compared multiple corporate database services to strengthen its marketing strategy.
Key factors in choosing uSonar included the comprehensive coverage of business locations including SMEs, the ease of use of the tools, the support structure, and the proven track record of implementation in large enterprises.
Additionally, the intent data functions "Interest Signal" and "Interest Sign" were highly rated for having the largest number of detected companies and the ability to perform simulations on the tool to see which keywords are being searched.
Future Outlook and Vision
Leveraging Thousands of Attributes to Increase Proposal Accuracy
Konica Minolta Japan intends to maximize the use of uSonar's corporate data. They are particularly focused on data not found in other services, such as the diverse "Story" attribute information, "Credit Rating Information" covering even small and micro-enterprises, and "High-Risk Company Flags" for checking business partners.
"Story": In addition to basic attributes such as company address, representative name, industry, and sales, uSonar provides "Story," a qualitative attribute consisting of thousands of tags detailing the focus areas (interests) and characteristics of each company.
Furthermore, the management strategy platform "PLANSonar" includes features to extract company lists based on targeted attributes, as well as "Intent Data" functions that capture real-time corporate interests for use in sales and marketing.
Konica Minolta Japan plans to use this data to refine lead nurturing and improve the accuracy of their sales approach.
