Background of uSonar Implementation: Considering Salesforce Integration to Strengthen Sales Capabilities

As Japan transitions into a world with interest rates, major trends such as 'digitalization' are accelerating further. Our corporate clients are actively working to improve productivity, restructure their business models, and make bold investments.

In this environment, MUFG Bank, Ltd. initiated a CRM reconstruction project to enhance sales capabilities and provide value-added services to our clients. To resolve issues with our existing CRM, we built new functions based on the keywords: 'Centralization of Customer Information,' 'Integrated Operations between Branches and Headquarters,' and 'NBA Delivery*2.' We decided to build a new CRM using Salesforce to 'make the utilization of internal and external data by sales representatives a daily routine, thereby achieving a deeper understanding of our customers and improving proposal quality and productivity.'

Regarding 'Centralization of Customer Information,' sales representatives expressed a strong desire to understand our customers more deeply. There was also a significant demand to easily acquire external information, such as industry news, which was previously difficult to capture comprehensively. We reached the realization that centralizing internal information alone was insufficient and that the utilization of external data, including uSonar, was necessary.

By combining internal information with external marketing data, we can grasp the latest customer attributes in a one-stop manner. By providing sales representatives with effective sales insights through high-precision information delivery, we aim to provide speedy, value-added services to our customers and realize our purpose of 'Being the Power that Moves the World Forward.'

Evaluation of uSonar: Proven Integration, Rich Attribute Data, and High Security

To realize this future vision, we examined the utilization of external data from the perspectives of the quality and quantity of corporate databases and the ease of data utilization.
As a result, uSonar's 'LBC,' one of Japan's largest corporate databases, was highly evaluated for its extensive track record of Salesforce integration, its ability to enrich customer data, and its potential to maximize sales and marketing effectiveness through high-precision customer analysis and targeting.
As a bank that handles critical customer information, the high level of safety from an information security perspective was also a deciding factor in implementing uSonar.
