Background of uSonar Implementation: Considering Salesforce Integration to Strengthen Sales Capabilities
As Japan transitions into a world with interest rates, major shifts such as the digital transformation are accelerating. Our corporate clients are actively working to improve productivity, restructure their business models, and make bold investments.
In this environment, MUFG Bank, Ltd. has embarked on a CRM reconstruction project to enhance sales capabilities and provide value-added services to our clients. To resolve the challenges of our existing CRM, we built new functions based on the keywords: "Centralization of Customer Information," "Integrated Operations between Branches and Headquarters," and "NBA Delivery*2." We decided to build a new CRM using Salesforce to realize "daily utilization of internal and external data by sales representatives, leading to a deeper understanding of clients, improved proposal quality, and increased productivity."
Regarding the "Centralization of Customer Information," sales representatives expressed a strong desire to understand clients more deeply. There was also a significant demand to easily access external information, such as industry newspapers, which was previously difficult to capture. We realized that internal data centralization alone was insufficient and that utilizing external data, including uSonar, was essential.
By combining internal information with external marketing data, we can grasp the latest client attributes in a one-stop manner. By providing sales representatives with effective sales insights through high-precision information delivery, we aim to offer speedy, value-added services to our clients and realize our vision of "Being the Power that Moves the World Forward."

Evaluation of uSonar: Proven Integration, Rich Attribute Data, and High Security
To realize this vision, we evaluated the utilization of external data from the perspectives of quality, quantity, and usability of corporate databases.
As a result, uSonar's "LBC," one of Japan's largest corporate databases, was highly evaluated for its extensive track record of Salesforce integration, its ability to enrich customer data, and its potential to maximize sales and marketing effectiveness through high-precision customer analysis and targeting.
As a bank that handles critical client information, the high level of security was also a deciding factor in choosing uSonar.
