(Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Ichiro Ozeki; hereinafter "SECOM").

Background of Implementation

SECOM operates businesses centered on security, as well as disaster prevention, medical, insurance, geospatial information services, and BPO/ICT services. While the company was promoting data utilization to conduct efficient sales activities, it faced the following challenges:

・ The matching rate for existing customer information within the core system was low, resulting in duplicate data.
・ Significant time was required for sales targeting.
・ Sales personnel's professional network information (business card data) was not visualized, preventing the company from effectively leveraging these connections.

To address these issues, SECOM implemented the customer data integration tool "uSonar," which is equipped with the corporate master data "LBC," and the business card management app "uMeishi," thereby building a data infrastructure to improve the accuracy of customer information.


* uMeishi (uMeishi) service was discontinued in August 2025. The currently available business card management application is mSonar, which features significantly enhanced functionality.

Implementation Results

1. By using the LBC code as a key to consolidate existing customer information, the matching rate has improved, allowing for a more accurate understanding of service adoption status for each customer.
2. By leveraging corporate attributes such as industry classification, the time required for targeting has been reduced, enabling more efficient sales activities.
3. Internal networking information can now be shared company-wide, facilitating smoother sales activities and negotiations.

Moving forward, we will focus on utilizing the organized data for digital marketing to achieve efficient lead acquisition. Furthermore, we plan to strengthen data integration across the group to enhance group synergies.
