Background of Implementation
PayPay is a company that provides electronic payment services utilizing smartphones. Currently, the company was facing the following challenges in acquiring new merchants:
・ The manual search and information gathering for target companies to acquire was creating a significant operational burden.
・ The collected information lacked sufficient corporate attributes, such as industry type and annual revenue, making it difficult to utilize for sales and marketing activities.
To address this, PayPay will integrate LBC, one of Japan's largest corporate master databases held by uSonar, into its existing Salesforce Sales Cloud (SFA) tool. This will enable the visualization of white space (non-transactional companies) and the construction of a sales strategy foundation that can be integrated with transaction records for use in sales and marketing.
Benefits of Implementation
By integrating the corporate master data "LBC" and the customer data integration solution "uSonar" with "Sales Cloud," we have established a data foundation for merchant acquisition and realized greater efficiency in sales activities.
1. Standardized data registration in "Sales Cloud" using the Quick Search API, an optional feature of "uSonar".
2. Updated missing attribute information, such as industry and annual revenue, to enable trend analysis at the corporate level.
3. Visualized market development status by integrating transaction history with "LBC," one of Japan's largest corporate master databases.
4. Enabled the extraction of high-priority target lists for new business development.
