Background of Implementation
Ricoh Japan provides products and services centered on Ricoh offerings to solve the management and operational challenges of customers in the Japanese market. Previously, sales representatives registered customer information in the core system, and marketing activities were conducted based on that database. However, the company faced challenges regarding the freshness of customer information.
To address this, Ricoh Japan decided to implement "LBC," a corporate master database covering 12.5 million locations across Japan. By simultaneously implementing the customer data integration solution "uSonar," the company built a data infrastructure to conduct efficient sales activities. Furthermore, with the goal of utilizing high-quality data from the moment of entry for marketing purposes, Ricoh Japan implemented the "Easy Registration API," an optional feature of "uSonar," on seminar and event registration pages, as well as "Live Access," which identifies companies visiting their corporate website.
Key Benefits of Utilizing the Corporate Master Database "LBC"
Utilize LBC to conduct marketing activities, and use uSonar for data integration, analysis, and the extraction of target companies. By updating marketing-related customer data with monthly LBC change information to maintain data freshness, we aim to achieve even more efficient sales activities.
Furthermore, because LBC possesses the following features, it enables the extraction of high-probability target companies.
1. High Coverage Spanning 12.5 Million Business Locations
→ Enables the visualization of accurate white space, allowing for comprehensive approaches even toward small and medium-sized enterprises.
2. Abundance of Non-Private Entities
→ Provides a comprehensive package of data for schools, medical corporations, social welfare facilities, and other non-private entities, facilitating the easy extraction of optimal target companies for each product or service.
3. Management System Systematizing Corporate Group Relationships
→ Enables the execution of group-wide sales strategies by leveraging the group relationships of existing customers.
4. High Data Freshness Through Daily Updates
→ By performing daily data maintenance on uSonar, we provide consistently fresh data. Daily updates on information such as bankruptcies and closures also help prevent wasted sales efforts.
