Background of Implementation
Ricoh Japan provides products and services centered on Ricoh solutions to solve the management and operational challenges of our customers in the Japanese market. Previously, our sales representatives registered customer information in our core system, and we conducted marketing activities based on that database. However, we faced challenges in maintaining the freshness of our customer information.
To address this, we decided to implement the corporate master data "LBC," which covers 12.5 million locations across Japan. By also implementing the customer data integration solution "uSonar," we built a data foundation to conduct efficient sales activities. Furthermore, with the goal of utilizing high-quality data from the moment it is entered, we implemented the "Easy Registration API," an optional feature of "uSonar," on our seminar and event registration pages, as well as "Live Access," which allows us to identify companies visiting our corporate website.
Key Benefits of Utilizing Corporate Master Data "LBC"
We use "LBC" to conduct marketing activities and "uSonar" to integrate, analyze, and extract target companies. By updating marketing-related customer data monthly via "LBC" to maintain data freshness, we aim to achieve even more efficient sales activities.
Additionally, "LBC" enables the extraction of high-probability target companies due to the following features:
1. High Coverage Spanning 12.5 Million Locations
→ Enables the visualization of accurate white space, allowing for comprehensive approaches to small and medium-sized enterprises.
2. Abundance of Non-Private Sector Entities
→ Provides comprehensive, packaged data for non-private sector entities such as schools, medical corporations, and social welfare facilities, making it easy to extract optimal target companies for each product category.
3. Management System Based on Systematic Corporate Group Relationships
→ Enables the execution of group-wide sales strategies by leveraging existing customer group relationships.
4. High Data Freshness Through Daily Updates
→ Provides consistently fresh data by performing daily maintenance on "uSonar." By updating information such as bankruptcies and closures daily, it is also possible to prevent wasted sales efforts.
