Under the invoice system, businesses are required to apply to the National Tax Agency to obtain an invoice number.
Businesses with a large number of suppliers, in particular, must identify the invoice numbers of their business partners to process consumption tax payments. Failure to do so may result in the inability to claim tax deductions, thereby increasing the company's tax payment burden.

Invoice numbers for business partners (suppliers) are published on the National Tax Agency's website and can be verified through searches.
However, because the company names on the public website are based on the names submitted by the applicants, automatic matching can be difficult if they differ from the company name formats in your own internal database.
Example: An applicant may register as "Nippon Electric Co., Ltd.," while your internal data lists them as "NEC Corporation."
Furthermore, unlike corporate numbers, a single organization may be assigned multiple invoice numbers, which can make the process of assigning the correct invoice number time-consuming.

To address these challenges, uSonar leverages "LBC," one of Japan's largest corporate databases, covering 8.2 million domestic business establishments. We perform data matching between the corporations contained in LBC and the latest invoice numbers (excluding sole proprietorships). This allows us to support companies struggling with the management of their supplier data.
