Corporate News
uSonar Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Nami Fukutomi; President: Katsuhito Nagatake; hereinafter "uSonar") is pleased to announce the launch of "DeepCheck," a new service designed to significantly reduce the operational burden on corporate sales and finance departments regarding business partner screening (compliance and creditworthiness checks). This definitive screening solution provides one-stop access to essential supporting documentation, including corporate registration records.
Given the increasing importance of business partner screening, particularly from the perspective of economic security, uSonar—the provider of Japan's largest*1 corporate database, "LBC"—is now delivering "Deep Insights, Instantly."

Background of DeepCheck Development
In an era where corporate social responsibility is increasingly scrutinized, the process of screening and evaluating new and existing business partners for compliance, creditworthiness, and payment status—collectively known as business partner screening (including compliance checks, anti-social force checks, and credit checks)—has become an essential operation across a wide range of industries, particularly in finance and real estate.
Engaging with problematic entities can lead to difficulties in collecting accounts receivable and a decline in corporate reputation, making this a critical business function. However, departments responsible for these checks face the challenge that "the more thorough the investigation, the more time and cost are required to navigate various information sources."
To address this, uSonar developed "DeepCheck," which instantly displays investigation results and supporting evidence derived from diverse information sources, significantly reducing the time and effort required for client research.
Since April 2020, uSonar has provided the "Cautionary Company Flag"*2 as a reference for business partner screening. DeepCheck incorporates the expertise gained from this service, offering specialized information and features dedicated to supporting business partner screening operations.

What sets us apart from other companies is our unique information source—accumulating a wide range of data including historical information and utilizing OSINT methods.
The breadth and depth of information sources are critical for business partner screening.
For example, if business partner screening is based solely on information searched and collected from the internet, such as news reports, it will be insufficient because older information is often deleted.
uSonar possesses not only internet-based information and corporate numbers published by the National Tax Agency, but also public information that is time-consuming and costly to obtain, such as nationwide commercial registrations. Furthermore, since our establishment in 1990, we have accumulated a vast amount of corporate information from the era before the internet became widespread, and we evaluate information by cross-referencing these data points.
We consider this to be the practice of OSINT*4, an intelligence method that has been gaining international attention in recent years.
Clients often express their gratitude, noting that "risks that were previously undetectable are frequently discovered using uSonar's information."
