Phone Appli Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Yosuke Ishihara; hereinafter "Phone Appli") and Landscape Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Nami Fukutomi; hereinafter "Landscape") will release a new feature, "Super Data Cleansing via LBC," in the first quarter of 2019 (January–March 2019). This feature will be integrated into the business card management function of PhoneAppli for Salesforce, utilizing Landscape's "LBC (Linkage Business Code)," Japan's largest corporate master data, to significantly improve the accuracy and flexibility of client data cleansing.

In business card management solutions, managing client information based on digitized business card data is critical for subsequent data utilization. However, conventional data cleansing methods based on company names have faced challenges, such as inconsistencies in company names (e.g., full-width vs. half-width characters), discrepancies between information on business cards and official company names, and the existence of multiple companies with the same name. These issues have prevented accurate matching, leading to increased data inaccuracies and time-consuming manual corrections.
The newly released "Super Data Cleansing via LBC" feature assigns a corporate code based on Landscape's "LBC"—the largest corporate master database in Japan (covering approximately 8.2 million locations)—to information digitized via OCR or operator entry. By registering this code in Salesforce contact information, it becomes possible to perform matching based on unique corporate codes rather than just company names.
This feature offers the following benefits to our customers:
(1) Prevents misidentification caused by variations in company names or companies with identical names, thereby improving the accuracy of client data through precise corporate cleansing.
(2) Enables the association of client contacts (individual information) with specific branch offices, rather than just headquarters.
(3) Facilitates further sales and marketing support by leveraging accumulated corporate codes through the use of Landscape's customer data integration solution, "uSonar," and other data cleansing services.
As a Salesforce-based web phonebook, this solution allows users to manage all internal and external contacts directly within Salesforce. It integrates communication tools such as phone, email, and chat, along with business card management, and is available for 300 JPY per user per month on both PC and mobile devices.
LBC is a corporate master database built by Landscape, assigning an 11-digit management code to approximately 8.2 million business locations across Japan. Beyond basic corporate attributes such as corporate numbers, industry types, and revenue scale, the LBC corporate code structure allows for the identification of corporate hierarchies, including capital relationships between parent and subsidiary companies, as well as relationships between headquarters and branch offices.
