uSonar Obtains SOC2 Type2 Certification, Expanding Enterprise Capabilities

uSonar Co., Ltd., a specialist in corporate data, is pleased to announce that it has obtained "SOC2 Type2" certification—an internationally recognized assurance report for internal controls—for its suite of database services, including PLANSonar and mSonar. This achievement enables enterprise clients and organizations with rigorous security requirements to adopt and utilize our services with greater speed and confidence.

SOC2 stands for "System and Organization Controls 2." It is a framework in which third-party organizations (such as audit firms or certified public accountants) evaluate internal controls related to the security of cloud services and other systems, based on the Trust Services Criteria established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
"Type1" evaluates the design of internal controls as of a specific date, which uSonar obtained in March 2025. Following this, the company worked toward obtaining "Type2" certification, which evaluates the operational effectiveness of internal controls over a specific period.

uSonar provides various services, including the corporate strategy platform PLANSonar and the corporate information & business card management app mSonar, which have been adopted by over 1100 companies, primarily large enterprises.

In particular, financial institutions and globally expanding companies, which are increasingly adopting our services, have higher demands for advanced security standards in cloud services.

Therefore, in addition to the ISMS certification we have already obtained, we decided to acquire the internationally recognized SOC2 Type2 certification.
