uSonar Co., Ltd. has collaborated with AGRIKO, an agricultural-welfare startup managed by actor Ryoko Kobayashi, to produce "ROSELLE BLOOD ORANGE TEA" as an original novelty item. This herbal tea will be distributed at the Legal & Compliance EXPO (Tokyo Big Sight), where uSonar will be exhibiting starting June 25th (https://usonar.co.jp/news/20250610_1486.html).
Background of the Collaborative Novelty Production
Actor Ryoko Kobayashi, who plays the role of the Sales Manager in uSonar's TV CM series, initiated this collaboration for original novelty production with AGRIKO. This is the third installment of novelty items presented to exhibition visitors, following the "LEMON GREEN TEA" in the spring of 2024 and the "Niigata Koshihikari Rice" in the autumn of 2024. Once again, AGRIKO's unique concepts regarding ingredients and production methods have been incorporated.
About ROSELLE BLOOD ORANGE TEA
This is a vibrant red flavored tea made with "Roselle" (a type of hibiscus) harvested from an agricultural-welfare farm on Amami Oshima Island, and "dried blood orange fruit" produced with the goal of reducing food waste. It offers a well-balanced combination of the tartness of Roselle and the refreshing sweetness of blood orange. The label design features alcohol ink art created by AGRIKO's staff members with disabilities.

・A high-energy herb that has withstood the intense sunlight and typhoons of Amami Oshima, characterized by its robust growth and beautiful color.
・Roselle is rich in citric acid and Vitamin C.
< About Blood Orange >
・The red color of the pulp, which is characteristic of blood oranges, is due to a type of polyphenol called anthocyanin.
・The waste rate for citrus fruits is approximately 30%, often due to their appearance. Since most of these fruits have no issues with taste, we are utilizing them effectively.
