uSonar Co., Ltd. hosted the "2nd DX Forum Accelerated by Data" on May 22nd at Billboard Live Tokyo in Tokyo Midtown, Roppongi. Ken Kusunoki, Specially Appointed Professor of Competitive Strategy at the Hitachubashi Business School PDS Endowed Chair, delivered a special lecture on the theme of "Competitive Strategy and DX," passionately discussing how to build a competitive advantage through data utilization.
The dialogue between Professor Kusunoki and uSonar President Katsuhito Nagatake explored the realities of promoting DX, while a panel discussion featuring SmartHR, Timee, and Mitsubishi Real Estate Services Co., Ltd. showcased case studies on data utilization through the implementation of uSonar.
The venue provided the same food and beverages as a live concert, facilitating active networking among the 110 participating business leaders. In the participant survey, 100% of respondents indicated they were "Very Satisfied" or "Satisfied."

About Professor Kusunoki
Management scholar specializing in competitive strategy. His research focuses on the logic behind how companies build sustainable competitive advantages. He completed his master's degree at the Graduate School of Commerce and Management, Hitotsubashi University. After serving as a full-time lecturer and associate professor at Hitotsubashi University, a visiting professor at SDA Bocconi School of Management (Milan, Italy), and an associate professor at the Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy at Hitotsubashi University, he assumed his current position in 2023. Born in Meguro Ward, Tokyo, in 1964.
He has served as Vice Chairman of the Startup Committee of the Japan Association of Corporate Directors (incumbent), a member of the Porter Prize Steering Committee (incumbent), a management advisor to Asahi Glass Co., Ltd., a management advisor to Misaki Capital Inc. (incumbent), a member of the Asset Management Advisory Committee for Resona Bank, a director of Skymark Airlines Inc., an advisory board member for NTT DATA, a member of the Industrial Structure Council of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and a director of the Academic Association for Organizational Science. He has been involved in the development of management talent at Fast Retailing Co., Ltd. since the inception of the company's FRMIC (Fast Retailing Management and Innovation Center). He received the Best Paper Award at the MIT-Japan Science and Technology Conference (1993) for "Dynamic Network and Bureaucracy" and the Business Book Grand Prize (2011) for "Competitive Strategy as a Story: Conditions for Superior Strategy."

Joined uSonar Co., Ltd. as a new graduate in 2000. After working in sales planning and other roles, he was appointed Executive Officer of the Sales Planning Group in July 2014. He became President and CEO in February 2019. He oversees the entire Sales Division and promotes customer success and marketing projects. Since taking office as President, he has grown uSonar's revenue by 260% over five years. He actively participates in various meetings and events, networking with over 1,000 executives and corporate leaders annually, and continues to conduct over 500 business meetings per year. He is dedicated to sharing the know-how of rapidly growing company revenue through data-driven sales and marketing activities not only with his own sales team but also with partners and clients.

Profile
After working in sales, she moved to a sales planning department and was involved in the implementation and construction of Salesforce as a system administrator. She joined SmartHR in 2020 to handle operations design for the sales department. She currently serves as the manager of the BizOps Department, which executes and improves business operations across the entire business division including group companies, and the BizSupport Department, which provides support for sales and CS quotes and contract execution. She supports the company's rapid growth while overseeing Salesforce and payment infrastructure tools.

After serving as Project Manager for an SFA/CRM migration project, he is currently focused on improving sales processes and implementing and utilizing sales support tools centered on SFA/CRM, with a mission to enhance the productivity of the entire sales organization.
