uSonar Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Nami Fukutomi; President: Katsuhito Nagatake; 260 employees) is pleased to announce that it received the Employment Adjustment Subsidy for Persons with Disabilities from the Japan Organization for Employment of the Elderly, Persons with Disabilities and Job Seekers (JEED) in December 2023.
This is based on the national Employment Levy System for Persons with Disabilities. Employers with more than 100 regular employees who have not met the statutory employment rate (2.3%) are required to pay a levy to JEED.
Using these funds, JEED provides employment adjustment subsidies and incentive payments to eligible employers.
Following last year, our company currently employs nine individuals with disabilities, which exceeds the five required for our company size, making us eligible for this subsidy. This marks the seventh consecutive year that our company has received this adjustment subsidy.
From the perspective of promoting ESG management, we remain committed to developing and maintaining a workplace environment where individuals with disabilities can thrive. This includes implementing occupational health management for VDT work, offering flexible work systems with free-shift options, and providing free lunches for all employees.
