Landscape, Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Katsuhito Nagatake; hereinafter "Landscape"), a company supporting database marketing, hereby announces that it has strengthened its personal data protection systems to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter "GDPR").
Building upon its existing information management systems—which include ISO/IEC 27001:2013, as well as ISO/IEC 27017:2015 and ISO/IEC 27018:2019 for cloud service information security management—Landscape has enhanced its management framework to expand the scope of personal data protection and ensure appropriate handling in accordance with GDPR requirements. This includes updating relevant terms of service and ensuring that each product complies with GDPR, thereby implementing appropriate protection measures for personal data from both organizational and technical perspectives.
This development was prepared under the supervision of TMI Associates, a law firm specializing in data utilization and cybersecurity.
Landscape has strengthened its information security management system regarding personal data for the customer data integration solution uSonar and the business card management application uMeishi, and we will continue to provide secure and reliable cloud services to our customers.
About the Customer Data Integration Solution uSonar
uSonar is a cloud-based data integration tool that allows for the consolidation and management of various customer-related information. It incorporates Landscape's long-standing expertise in cleansing data across diverse formats, as well as our proprietary corporate master database, LBC. It enables seamless integration with solutions such as CRM/SFA, business card management, Marketing Automation (MA), and DMP.

About the Business Card Management Application uMeishi
uMeishi is a business card management application that leverages LBC, Japan's largest corporate master database (8.2 million locations) maintained by Landscape. By utilizing LBC as a master dictionary for OCR (Optical Character Recognition) data analysis technology, the application instantly corrects data simply by scanning a business card, enabling high-precision digitization. Furthermore, it allows for the automatic appending of attribute information such as industry, annual revenue, and corporate registration numbers to business card data, facilitating immediate utilization of the information.
