Company News
Landscape Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Nami Fukutomi; hereinafter "Landscape"), a company supporting database marketing, and Digital Advertising Consortium Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and COO: Masaya Shimada; hereinafter "DAC") have announced the integration of DAC's DMP (Data Management Platform) "AudienceOne®" (*1) with the "Affluent Area Data" developed by Landscape. This partnership enables the delivery of internet advertisements targeted at specific affluent areas based on postal codes.
■ Background
Traditionally, advertising campaigns targeting affluent individuals have relied on placing ads in specialized media with high viewership among the wealthy, or utilizing targeting ads based on online data such as estimated annual income and browsing history related to luxury goods.
Landscape and DAC have now developed a new method that leverages offline data of affluent individuals holding financial assets of 100 million yen or more. This approach allows for targeting based on affluence levels by area rather than online browsing history, and we have officially launched this service.
■ Service Overview
Landscape has built an "Affluent Database" of approximately 2.1 million individuals with estimated assets of 100 million yen or more, derived from a consumer database of approximately 95 million records based on "occupational attributes," "residential attributes," and "wealth attributes." This data has been utilized for marketing by luxury brands, real estate companies, banks, and securities firms. By reconstructing this database into "Affluent Area Data" that determines affluence by postal code and combining it with the "Internet User Residence/Postal Code Estimation" technology uniquely developed by DAC for "AudienceOne®," we have made it possible to deliver online advertisements to users in postal code areas with a high concentration of affluent households.
As the first product offering, we have launched affluent-targeted advertising on DAC's DSP "MarketOne®." Moving forward, we plan to expand compatibility to advertising products (DSPs and ad networks) such as Yahoo! Japan and Google, which are already integrated with "AudienceOne®." Verification results conducted with Shiseido Japan Co., Ltd. demonstrated a click-through rate 2 to 3 times higher than conventional methods.
Landscape and DAC will continue to exchange expertise in our respective areas of strength, working together to realize more integrated marketing solutions.
*1: "AudienceOne®," developed and provided by DAC, is a DMP that collects and analyzes ad delivery results, social media data, and 3rd-party data from partner companies. It is utilized for various marketing initiatives, such as identifying prospective customers and converting existing customers into loyal ones. As one of the largest DMPs in Japan, it manages over 450 million unique browser audience data points and app data, with a total storage capacity exceeding 1 trillion records.
